Kanpong Thaweesuk

Manager

Kanpong Thaweesuk is a leadership-driven arts manager and entrepreneur whose background spans international education, cultural policy, and community engagement. During his studies in Seattle (2010-2013), his individualized associate degree allowed him to explore the humanities with a strong emphasis on intercultural communication and multiculturalism. Coursework in Communication, Psychology, and Multicultural Studies laid a foundation for understanding complex social issues and the importance of cultural awareness. This academic path sparked his interest in the societal impact of culture at both individual and systemic levels. Intensive studies in Power, Privilege, and Differences further deepened his understanding of how social structures shape power dynamics, inspiring him to pursue cultural frameworks in both business and the arts.

Following his studies, Kanpong founded KorPunGun Co., Ltd. (KPG), a Thailand-based education consultancy supporting Thai students in pursuing studies in the U.S., Canada, and the Philippines. Under his direction, KPG has built direct partnerships with more than 80 overseas institutions and has become known for its innovative digital marketing strategies and student-centered branding.

In recent years, Kanpong has turned his focus toward arts and cultural management, driven by a passion for performance and creative entrepreneurship. He is now involved in supporting the strategic development of Pichet Klunchun Dance Company (PKDC), helping position Thai contemporary performance for greater international recognition and operational sustainability. He also contributes to the development of MALI Bucha: Dance Offering, a project that reflects his commitment to reimagining Thai cultural expression in modern contexts.

With a unique blend of public service, business acumen, and cultural insight, Kanpong brings a cross-sector approach to advancing the visibility and impact of Thai contemporary dance.
