Tas Chongchadklang

Dancer

Tas Chongchadklang is a dancer with Pichet Klunchun Dance Company (PKDC), active with the company since 2019. Trained in Khon, Thailand’s classical masked dance tradition, with a specialization in giant demon roles (Yakh), Tas brings a powerful physical presence and precise movement vocabulary to his performances. He holds a degree in Music and Performing Arts from the Faculty of Fine and Applied Arts, Burapha University.

Tas has been a core performer in PKDC’s internationally toured productions, including:

Beyond his work with PKDC, Tas has begun carving his own creative path. His personal project, THODRUP (The Paradoxical Archetype: Process of Transformation and Identification in Dance), premiered at Chaloemla Park, Bangkok (9 Jun 2024), signaling a bold step into choreographic and conceptual exploration.

Tas’s performance style embodies the tension between formality and freedom — honoring the precision of Khon while pushing into abstraction. His ability to adapt, hybridize, and challenge traditional frameworks marks him as a vital force in the evolution of Thai contemporary dance.
